Time Out

in

Tiles has been around for more than 20 years and still regularly packs them in most nights of the week.

Loyal groupies divide themselves between the cosy Mediterranean-style ground-floor bar with its attractive tiled walls, small clothed tables and distracting outlook on to the busy streets of Victoria, and the funky basement lounge bar with its ambient lighting, squashy sofas, coffee tables and jazzy vibes.

I went with a mate who has been a regular here for some time.Tiles is more a restaurant (on two floors) than a bar, & I thought the food was excellent. I had mackerel and rib-eye steak - both were fresh & substantial & very good value for money. They were so substantial that I didn't have room for dessert, which is unusual for me.
